But, since you’re offering free stuff.

I’m a frugal nut. My kids aren’t addicted to packaging so most of what they get under the tree is used from a garage sale, thrift store or ebay. This way I can make all their dreams come true and still retire. The 2 year old is getting a “new enough” bike for $5.

I also send out a note in Oct. telling the extended family what the giving boundaries are. It took a few years but we’ve got a White Elephant party on one side and a Drawing Names for one sibling’s family on the other.

I’m not getting my brother-in-law who complains at every gathering and won’t do dishes a gift and skipping my husband who does dishes every night to save money. And I’m not touching a credit card.

For older kids, you can buy the school supplies when they’re super cheap from Office Depot and Staples at the beginning of the school season, and then you put them together in a nice box and they have an art set! It takes a little planning ahead, but it’s really cheap if you catch the deals. Thanks for the giveaway!

The shirts are so cute, I would love to win them for myself and my youngest son!! My idea for homemade gifts, my favorite thing is to make holiday photo frames with magnets on them for the fridge, it makes a really cute gift. Your child can even help decorate them, with holiday stickers and such. Shastas last blog post..Trick or Treat, Pokemon Style!

Those are really cute!

A couple of years ago I knit my nieces little purses. They were pink and felted with colorful stuff on top. They knit up really quick and were a hit!

Things we will be making for kiddos are:

wooden block out of birch sticks and hand made draw string bag to put them in.
felt crayon rolls to put some crayons or colored pencils in.
tree house made out of branches and logs.
Maybe a log roll made out of birch with candles for my parents fireplace.

Just a few on my list.

There is a website called “Makebabystuff.com” that has some easy toy making tutorials. I did the kool-aid dyed playsilks and plan to give them to my boys for Christmas!
