You are right that we never will know who doesn't vote for Obama because of race- I guess I just don't like the reports coming out now, (not here) saying if Dem's & Independents don't vote for Obama, it is because they are racist. Like you pointed out, we don't know that for a fact, and I don't see how anyone can claim that. There are things I like about both candidates, and I things I don't. I really worry about national security, and experience. I know Palin isn't ready to be pres., but she isn't running for pres, but Obama is. Quite honestly, I really don't think Biden is that great of a VP pick, and every VP is a heartbeat away from being president. Could McCain (if elected) die in his sleep making Palin president? Yes, but he could also live another 20 years too. If something happened to Obama, (which IS less likely than McCain) Biden would be pres.and he was saying the other day at a rally that him and Obama were against clean coal, but Obama has said they are for it. Then he said FDR was president when the stock market crashed, and was on TV, talking to the country. That is just totally wrong- Hoover was president, and TV hadn't even been invented. Since I am not gung-ho for either party, there isn't any one choice now, that just seems ideal. They both have their problems, and their strengths. So I suppose it will come down for me, comparing the lesser of two evils, like you said. I know you support Obama 100% so I appreciate your thoughts and comments. You are right that we never will know who doesn’t vote for Obama because of race- I guess I just don’t like the reports coming out now, (not here) saying if Dem’s & Independents don’t vote for Obama, it is because they are racist. There are things I like about both candidates, and I things I don’t. I really worry about national security, and experience. How will we know if they vote for the other guy instead because of their discrimination? We don't. No one really knows why anyone chooses a candidate when filling out the voting form. For me, I have looked at both candidate's websites and read their plans for this country and Obama's was the more logical, practical and people first oriented plan. McCain still takes money from oil companies, does not care about the environment, ships jobs overseas and is completely out of touch on many issues regarding the economy - the biggest problem we have now thanks to Bush's past 8 years destroying our way of life. Check out this link for more detailed info on how Obama plans to help the US get back on track: www.barackobama.com/issues Btw, the fact that McCain picked a running mate that believes that humans and dinosaurs lived on earth at the same time and is against educating teens on reproduction and safe sex and has no problem killing off loads of animals on the endangered species list and bullies people to get what she wants done and is being investigated on sev'l different counts and does not believe in global warming!! well I could care less if that is a man or a woman, that person is freaking clueless and ignorant and has no integrity and I don't want that a heartbeat away from running our country! It's just as bad as Cheney. I really hope and pray that people choose someone that is fair and just and wants to help clean up our planet and make more jobs for our people, etc even if you don't love him, we only get 2 choices otherwise if you vote for an obscure party, you are throwing your vote away and this race is too important. Think lesser of 2 evils even. I really want my child to have a planet that is safe to live on while he grows up and also for his kids. If we keep doing what we've been doing, we won't have a safe planet for anyone anymore!
